About this trip
Four days across Albania's south, moving between Tirana, Gjirokastra, Saranda and Vlora, taking in Ottoman old towns, Roman ruins and the Riviera coastline.
You'll walk through Gjirokastra's stone old town and the ancient site of Butrint, both UNESCO-listed, then head to the coast for the beaches and cliffside views of the Albanian Riviera and Llogara National Park.
A guide travels with you throughout, filling in the Illyrian, Roman and Ottoman layers of history behind each stop, so the sightseeing comes with context rather than just a list of names.
