About this trip
A day on Luxor's West Bank, the ground the ancient Egyptians set aside for eternity. You'll move between tombs and temples built for rulers and gods, with a guide to explain what you're looking at.
The Valley of the Queens holds painted tombs of royal women and children, still vivid with scenes of devotion and the afterlife. Medinet Habu, Ramesses III's mortuary temple, is one of the more complete monuments on this side of the river, its walls carrying battle and ritual scenes. The Ramesseum, built by Ramesses II, adds fallen colossi and detailed reliefs from the same period.
It's a private, fully guided day, so the pace is set around you rather than a group.
