About this trip
This is a slow-paced cruise around Evia aboard a traditional wooden caique, with days built around swimming, eating and doing very little else. You spend six nights living on board, waking up in a different quiet cove or harbour each morning.
The rhythm is simple: a swim to start the day, breakfast and lunch on deck, snorkelling in rocky coves, and evenings in waterside tavernas. Your captain, Thanos, and crew run the boat and keep the sangria flowing.
It suits people who want to switch off rather than tick off sights — there's no rushing between islands, just settling into life on the water.
What you'll do
- Sleep aboard a traditional wooden caique for six nights
- Swim and snorkel in the coves around Evia each morning
- Eat breakfast and lunch prepared fresh on deck
- Dine in waterside tavernas along the island's harbours
- Sunbathe and unwind on deck between stops
- Slow-paced — this is about settling in, not covering distance
- You'll be sharing close quarters on a small boat for most of the trip
- Private rooms are available, but life happens mostly on deck and in port
Worth it if you want stellar food, genuine history storytelling, and proper swimming breaks. Think twice if you need predictability or prefer shore-based stays.
- Thanos delivers formidable Greek history knowledge with real enthusiasm; George's onboard cooking and local taverna choices consistently impress.
- Swimming directly from the boat in clear coves and snorkelling at Zostani feels genuinely relaxing; itinerary flexes with weather for smooth sailing.
- Itinerary changes daily due to weather; if you need fixed plans or prefer predictable schedules, this won't suit you.
- Group chemistry matters here; the caique setup means eight days in close quarters with the same 10-15 people aboard.
