About this trip
Seven days exploring Hunza Valley and the surrounding region, starting and ending in Islamabad. This is a tailor-made trip built around slow immersion in the mountains rather than ticking off a checklist.
You travel the Karakoram Highway up to Khunjerab Pass, the world's highest border crossing, then spend your days wandering villages, forts and valleys where the Karakoram, Himalaya and Hindukush ranges meet.
Flights are used for one leg of the journey to cut out a 15-hour road transfer, leaving more time for the valleys themselves.
