About this trip
This one splits neatly into two halves: volcano country around La Fortuna, then beach time in Santa Teresa. It's built to cover a lot of Costa Rica without a lot of cost.
In La Fortuna you're near the volcano with optional adrenaline activities on offer, including waterfall rappelling, before heading to the Pacific coast to slow down on the sand at Santa Teresa.
A CEO travels with the group throughout, and accommodation and transport between the two are included, keeping things simple and guided.
What you'll do
- Base yourself in La Fortuna, Costa Rica's volcano hub
- Optional waterfall rappelling for those wanting an adrenaline hit
- Travel overland to the Pacific coast
- Unwind on the beach at Santa Teresa
- Guided throughout by a CEO (Chief Experience Officer)
- Pitched as a budget-friendly way to see two very different sides of Costa Rica
- Adrenaline activities like waterfall rappelling are optional extras, not included in the trip cost
- Pace is moderate — a few days of activity in La Fortuna followed by proper downtime at the beach
Worth it if you want genuine adventure, stellar guides, and don't mind paying extra for activities. Think twice if you're budget-conscious—activities and meals aren't included in the tour price.
- Guides (Berny, Marina, Yinier) consistently praised for patience, knowledge, and infectious enthusiasm throughout.
- Group dynamic becomes genuinely close; honeymoon couples found ample private time alongside real friendship opportunities.
- Activities and meals are extra costs beyond transport and lodging, significantly inflating total trip expense.
- Eight days of physical and emotional intensity; expect early starts and challenging adventures, not just relaxation.
