About this trip
Twenty-five days through Vietnam, Cambodia and Bangkok, covering a lot of ground and a lot of history along the way. You'll move through ancient ruins, wartime tunnels and buzzing local markets, with plenty of downtime built in for beach parties and street life.
It's a group trip with everything organised for you, staying in hostels throughout, so the focus is on getting stuck into each place rather than logistics.
What you'll do
- Crawl through the Cu Chi tunnels used during the Vietnam War
- Explore ancient temple ruins in Cambodia
- Browse local fish and insect markets, deep-fried cricket included
- Take part in a cooking class
- Swim in clear coastal waters
- Join beach and street parties along the route
- Covers three countries in 25 days, so expect regular moves between destinations
- Group-based trip with hostel accommodation and private rooms available
- Leans social — good fit if you want nightlife and markets alongside the history
Worth it if you're 18-35, crave intense socialising, and don't mind packed days and rough sleeper trains. Think twice if you value downtime or prefer opting out of activities without pressure.
- Group guide quality is genuinely exceptional—multiple reviewers named them as standout highlights of the entire trip.
- Small group size creates a tight, safe 'little family' feel while staying intimate enough for authentic local access.
- Sleeper trains are genuinely rough; one experienced traveller called them an unnecessarily rough patch in an otherwise fantastic journey.
- Schedule is jampacked; if you're older (early 30s) or prefer autonomy, you may feel pressure to participate in activities beyond your comfort zone.
