About this trip
Nineteen days across five Central Asian countries, following the old Silk Road from Turkmenistan's desert crater through to Kazakhstan's canyons. This is a proper overland journey — long distances, changing landscapes, and a lot of ground covered in one go.
You move through Uzbekistan's tiled, domed cities, up into Tajikistan's mountain lake country, across Kyrgyzstan's nomadic valleys, and finish among the rock formations of Kazakhstan's Charyn Canyon. Five very different countries, each with its own pace and character, strung together on one route.
It's a fully guided group trip pitched as easy going, so the logistics are handled — your focus is on taking in the sights and the history as you go.
