About this trip
This 17-day trip runs from Amsterdam to Rome, taking in a long stretch of central Europe's big-name cities along the way. It's hostel-based and group-run, with a guide leading you through each stop rather than you working it out alone.
Expect a mix of city time and scenery: Berlin's history and art scene, the architecture of Prague and Vienna, a hike around a mountain lake en route to Salzburg, and Innsbruck's alpine setting. The trip then drops into Tuscany before finishing in Rome.
It's a broad sweep through some of Europe's most visited places, aimed at those who want a lot of ground covered rather than lingering long in any one spot.
