About this trip
This is a week based in one spot on the Amalfi Coast, out of season, when the hilltop towns and vineyards empty out and you get to see them more as locals do than as a tourist.
Days mix history and walking: mornings might take you round the ruins of Pompeii, afternoons onto coastal trails above the Med, before heading back to your base in a converted 17th-century monastery.
With one homebase for the week, the pace is steadier than a typical multi-stop tour, leaving room to actually settle into the place rather than just pass through it.
