About this trip
Fifteen days across three Caucasus countries, starting in Baku and looping through Georgia and Armenia before finishing back in Tbilisi. A different local guide takes over in each country, so you get someone who actually knows the place rather than one guide stretched thin across borders.
The route mixes capital cities with smaller towns — wine country, mountain passes, and a fair few UNESCO sites along the way. Expect a good amount of driving between countries, balanced by proper time to eat, drink, and look around in each stop.
What you'll do
- Explore Baku's old town and architecture
- Wander the hilltop town of Sighnaghi in Georgia's wine region
- Cross into Armenia via the Bavra border to Gyumri and Yerevan
- Visit historical and UNESCO-listed sites across all three countries
- Sample regional food and wine with a local guide in each country
- Take in mountain scenery at Gudauri and Akhaltsikhe
- Covers three countries with two border crossings, so pack patience for paperwork
- A local guide leads each country's leg rather than one guide for the whole trip
- Good fit for families and groups wanting culture and history over adventure activity
