About this trip
Eleven days through Tamil Nadu's temple towns and old colonial streets, moving from Chennai down through Mahabalipuram, Pondicherry, Thanjavur, Chettinad and Madurai.
This is a history and architecture trip at heart, with stone temples, Chola-era carvings and French colonial quarters giving a sense of the dynasties that shaped the region.
It runs at an easy pace with partial guiding, so there's room to explore on your own alongside the group elements.
