About this trip
Ten days through Kerala, moving from the forested hills of Wayanad down through waterfalls, tea country and out to the backwaters — a proper cross-section of India's deep south.
You start in Wayanad, take in Guruvayur and the Athirappilly waterfalls, then head up to Munnar, where tea plantations cover the hills in every direction. The trip ends at Alleppey, with a night spent aboard a houseboat on the backwaters.
It's a slower, scenery-led trip rather than a city-hopping one — waterfalls, hills and water make up most of the days.
