What travellers actually say

Worth it if you want to see Turkey's highlights efficiently and don't mind long bus days. Think twice if you need comfort, English-speaking guides throughout, or dislike rushed itineraries.

  • Expect 7-9 hours daily on the bus; brochure doesn't adequately warn this dominates the trip.
  • Guide quality varies wildly and is unpredictable; some non-English speakers assigned without notice.
  • Outstanding guides like Oskan and Sila make the trip; they remember names, add humour, surprise guests.
  • Istanbul and Ankara hotels are basic and poorly located; rest of accommodation acceptable, attractions cost €30-60 each.
