About this trip
This trip takes you through some of South America's starkest, most dramatic landscapes, starting in the Atacama Desert, the driest place on Earth, before crossing into Bolivia to cross the Uyuni Salt Flats and finishing in La Paz.
You'll see geysers, high-altitude lagoons and an otherworldly salt flat where the horizon seems to disappear, followed by a capital city where indigenous tradition and modern life sit side by side against a mountain backdrop.
This is a self-guided trip, so you move at your own pace between destinations, sharing transport and services with other travellers along the way rather than travelling as a fixed group.
