About this trip
Fifteen days covering the full sweep of Morocco, from the blue-washed lanes of Chefchaouen to the dunes of the Sahara, with the medinas, mountains and coast in between.
You move through the country at a fair clip, taking in Roman ruins, imperial cities, palm valleys and a camel ride into the desert for sunset, before finishing on the coast at Essaouira and back in Marrakech's Djemaa el-Fna.
It's a good fit if you want the highlights reel of Morocco in one go rather than settling into one region.
What you'll do
- Wander the blue-painted lanes of Chefchaouen
- Explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the medina of Fes
- Ride a camel into the Sahara for sunset
- Hike through the palm groves of Todra Valley
- Visit the World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou
- End in Marrakech's Djemaa el-Fna food stalls and street performers
- Some long travel days, especially the drive out to the Sahara, though with rest stops and good scenery along the way
- Summer temperatures can pass 40°C — sun protection, layers and water are essential
- If travelling during Ramadan, some cafes and restaurants may be closed during the day and your leader will adjust the itinerary
Worth it if you want genuine cultural immersion with standout local guides. Think twice if you need flexible cancellation policies or prefer leisurely pacing.
- Guides like Moh, Hamid and Bibi go genuinely beyond brief—joining meals, offering local tips, carrying bags on hikes.
- Small groups of 6 people create real friendships and allow guides to tailor experiences based on group interests.
- Itinerary pacing leaves some stops only 2 hours or arrives at destinations at dusk, limiting exploration time.
- Cancellation policy is inflexible; company refused credit or compensation even for Force Majeure events like earthquakes.
