About this trip
Ten days across Morocco with family in mind, moving from Casablanca's French-tinged streets to the souks of Fes, the Atlas Mountains and out into the Sahara, before finishing in Marrakech.
The pace leaves room to breathe. Your guide covers the ground that matters, but there is proper free time built in for the family to explore at your own speed rather than being marched from sight to sight.
Expect kasbah ruins, spice markets, mint tea with locals, a night camping under Saharan stars and Marrakech's evening square in full swing, with couscous and tagines along the way.
What you'll do
- Wander the tanneries and spice souks of Fes
- Cross the Atlas Mountains into desert landscape
- Camp overnight in the Sahara under open sky
- Share mint tea with locals in Todra Gorge
- Take in Marrakech's nightly square of performers and storytellers
- Wander Casablanca's French-influenced port streets
- You travel between destinations by minivan, sometimes for extended stretches, with limited space — worth knowing before you pack
- May to September can be very hot, which is worth weighing up if travelling in that window
- Structured enough to hit the highlights but with genuine free time for family pace
