About this trip
Ten days across Morocco's most distinct cities, from the Atlantic coast to the High Atlas mountains, each stop with its own character. You move from the modern scale of Casablanca to the blue-washed lanes of Chefchaouen, then on to the imperial cities and the souks of Marrakech.
Along the way there's real historical depth — Roman ruins at Volubilis, the old university city of Fes, and the medina life of Meknes — balanced with the slower pace of mountain villages near the end of the trip.
It's a group trip built around variety rather than a single theme, so expect a good mix of cities, culture and landscape rather than long stretches in any one place.
What you'll do
- See the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca
- Wander the blue streets of Chefchaouen
- Walk the Roman ruins at Volubilis
- Visit the Chaouara Tannery and old medina in Fes
- Take in Jemaa el-Fna square and the palaces of Marrakech
- Spend time in Berber villages in the High Atlas Mountains
- Covers a lot of ground in 10 days, with a new city every night or two
- Suits travellers who want a broad first look at Morocco rather than one region in depth
- Runs over Christmas and New Year, so worth checking how those dates are handled locally
