Best of Morocco Family Holiday

Start & end in Marrakesh 12 days Up to 16

About this trip

Twelve days across Morocco built for families, covering Fes, the Sahara, the High Atlas Mountains, Essaouira and Marrakech. It's a proper sweep of the country, with enough hands-on moments to keep kids engaged rather than just sightseeing from a bus.

You'll get stuck into a pottery class in Fes, ride camels into the Sahara for sunset, and swap wheels for donkeys and camels on village walks through the High Atlas. A homestay in Imlil brings you into contact with Amazigh hospitality rather than just passing through.

The trip closes in Marrakech, with time to wander the medina, eat street food from the bazaar and take in the street performers of Djemaa el-Fna square.

What you'll do

  • Pottery class in Fes
  • Camel trek into the Sahara for sunset
  • Village walks by camel and donkey in the High Atlas Mountains
  • Homestay with an Amazigh family in Imlil
  • Explore the seaside village of Essaouira
  • Street food and street performers at Djemaa el-Fna, Marrakech
Good to know
  • Some long travel days as the route covers a lot of ground
  • The road to the High Atlas Mountains is very windy, worth noting if you or your child gets motion sick
  • On the camel trek day you can ride or walk alongside the caravan for about an hour, no more than basic fitness needed
