About this trip
A day trip out of Edinburgh into the Highlands, built around one big-ticket stop: the Glenfinnan Viaduct, familiar to anyone who's watched the Harry Potter films cross it by train.
Along the way you take in a broad sweep of Highland scenery, some history, and the obligatory encounter with a hairy coo or two.
It's a full day out and back, guided throughout, with a good amount of ground covered for a single day.
