About this trip
Three days out to Lewis and Harris in the Outer Hebrides, based from Inverness. Expect wide empty beaches, a look at how Harris Tweed is actually made, and a fair bit of ancient history along the way.
You're based in Stornoway for two nights, with days built around driving to dramatic coastal and highland spots rather than long hikes or heavy activity — this one's easy-paced and works well for families or anyone new to guided group travel.
What you'll do
- Two nights based in Stornoway
- Callanish Standing Stones and the Iron Age Carloway Broch (optional add-on)
- Cliffs and views at the Butt of Lewis Lighthouse
- Corrieshalloch Gorge in the highland wilderness
- Waterfalls and views over the Moray and Cromarty Firth
- Departs Inverness at 08.00 and returns by 19.00
- Callanish Standing Stones and Carloway Broch are optional extras, subject to availability
- Easy-paced and fully guided, suited to families and first-time group travellers
