About this trip
This is an 8-day loop through Kathmandu, Chitwan and Pokhara that mixes temple visits and heritage sites with a proper dose of adventure. You get white water rafting, a jungle safari, and some of the best-known viewpoints in the country, all without straying too far off the beaten path.
The Kathmandu valley opens things up with visits to Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Durbar Square, giving you a solid sense of the city's layered history. From there you head south to Charaudi for a rafting stop on the Trishuli River before continuing into Chitwan.
In Chitwan, wildlife takes over, with jeep and elephant safaris through the national park and a visit to a Tharu village. The final leg in Pokhara is all lakes, caves and mountain views, including an early start up Sarangkot for sunrise over the Annapurna range, before the drive back to Kathmandu closes the loop.

Worth it if you want seamless logistics, wildlife spotting, and reliable drivers in stunning scenery. Think twice if you dislike early starts and long, bumpy drives back to Kathmandu.
- Driver quality is genuinely exceptional; Subash and Qazi earned repeated praise for safe, professional driving on notoriously risky Nepali roads.
- Organiser Bhagwat is the real MVP: handles airport pickups seamlessly, adds activities to itineraries, provides complimentary dinners, and escorts groups safely.
- Return drive to Kathmandu is long and gruelling due to traffic and road conditions; pack patience and sunscreen for the journey.
- Chitwan gets brutally hot and humid; mosquito spray is essential, not optional, for comfort during wildlife spotting.
