About this trip
This eight-day route runs from Hanoi down through Vietnam and into Cambodia, taking in the country's mix of cities, history and river life before finishing in Phnom Penh.
You start in the north with an overnight cruise on Halong Bay and a day exploring Hanoi's old quarter and historic sites, then move south to the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta, where life slows down around the river and its markets.
The journey ends by crossing into Cambodia to spend time in Phnom Penh, a fitting close to a trip that covers a lot of Vietnam's character in a short space of time.
