About this trip
This week takes you overland from Ho Chi Minh City through the Mekong Delta and into Cambodia, ending among the temples of Angkor. It's a route built around rivers, markets and old cities rather than beach time or downtime.
You'll pass through My Tho, Ben Tre and Can Tho on the Vietnamese side, with a stop at the Tra Su wetland sanctuary near Chau Doc, before crossing the border to Phnom Penh and finishing in Siem Reap. Guides are with you throughout, and the pace is steady rather than rushed.
Expect a mix of local food, boat rides, markets and some heavier history in Phnom Penh, balanced by the scale and detail of Angkor's temples at the end.
