About this trip

Eight days that move fast through Vietnam's big three: Ho Chi Minh City, Hoi An and Hanoi, with an overnight cruise in Halong Bay thrown in. It's built for people who want the highlights reel rather than a slow wander.

You start in the south with a day out to the Mekong Delta, then dig into Ho Chi Minh City's wartime history at the Cu Chi Tunnels before flying north to Hoi An for some unhurried time in its old town. From there it's on to Hanoi and out onto Halong Bay for a night aboard a cruise boat among the limestone karsts.

The trip closes back in Hanoi with a look at the city's key landmarks before you head home. Expect a lot of ground covered in a short time, with culture, history and one big natural landscape all packed in.
