Zambia: 8-Days Nanzhila Cultural, Historical & Wildlife Safari Adventure

This is a slow, community-focused route through southern Zambia that mixes wildlife with real village life rather than treating culture as a photo stop. You spend genuine time with local guides in functioning traditional villages, learning about the country's pre and post-colonial history from people who live it.

The trip runs overland from Livingstone to Lusaka, taking in Victoria Falls and Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park early on, then moving through smaller towns like Kalomo and Choma before settling in for two days of cultural activities at the Mukazubo Cultural Research Institute in Chisekesi.

It's guided throughout by Zambian staff, with a mix of wildlife encounters, historical sites and village stays, ending with a look at city life and the Lusaka Museum in the capital.

What you'll do

• Walk among endangered white rhino in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park
