About this trip
Nine days moving overland from Guatemala's highlands to the Belize coast, taking in colonial towns, volcanoes, jungle rivers and Mayan ruins along the way.
You start in Antigua among its colonial churches and cobbled streets, then hike Pacaya volcano before heading east to the rivers and green jungle around Rio Dulce. From there it's on to Livingston to meet the Garifuna community, north to Tikal for the Mayan ruins, and finally across the border to Caye Caulker for a taste of Belize's coast and cayes.
It's a fully guided group trip with a good mix of culture, nature and a bit of adrenaline, moving through several distinct regions in a single journey.
