About this trip
Six days on the road from Casablanca, taking in Morocco's imperial cities before finishing in the Sahara. You cover a lot of ground — Chefchaouen, Fes, Marrakech and the desert around Merzouga all feature.
The route runs through valleys, gorges and mountain passes, past kasbahs and hilltop fortresses, with one night camping out among the dunes of Erg Chebbi under a clear desert sky.
