Himba Village Experience | Private Guided Lodge

Three days in northern Namibia spent getting to know the Himba, a semi-nomadic people whose way of life has adapted to one of the harshest landscapes on earth. You stay at a private lodge and visit a traditional homestead of circular huts built from wood, clay and dung, with a guide on hand to explain what you're seeing.

This is about direct contact rather than a staged show. You'll have the chance to help with everyday tasks like milking goats or preparing food, watch handmade crafts being made, and talk with Himba people about their customs and beliefs through your guide.

It ends with the option to buy handcrafted items straight from the people who made them, which puts money directly into the local economy rather than a shop somewhere else.
