About this trip
Three days in Kyrgyzstan take you from the high pastures of Son Kul to the shores of Yssyk-Kul, with a night spent in a yurt camp by the lake itself.
Along the way you get a proper look at how yurts are actually made and meet a golden eagle hunter, before finishing up at Kaji-Sai beach for a change of pace by the water.
What you'll do
- Sleep in a yurt camp on the shores of Song Kul lake
- Watch a yurt being built and learn the craft behind it
- Visit a golden eagle house and meet the birds up close
- Relax at Kaji-Sai beach on Yssyk-Kul
- Short trip that mixes mountain lake scenery with cultural stops rather than long treks
- Yurt camp accommodation means basic, close-to-nature conditions for at least one night
