This is a 34-day overland journey through East Africa built around wildlife, taking you from Nairobi down to Dar es Salaam via some of the continent's best-known game areas. You will travel by expedition truck as part of a group of up to 24, with two crew leading the way.

The trip is participatory, which means you pitch in with daily chores like shopping and cooking rather than being waited on. Camping is the main form of accommodation throughout, with the occasional chance to upgrade to a room locally where available.

It ends with time on Zanzibar, a stretch of beach and sea after weeks of dust and game drives. This is not a polished safari holiday — it is a long, hands-on overland trip where the wildlife is the reward for a more rugged way of travelling.
