About this trip
Six days that move from Rome's back streets to the ruins of Pompeii and out to the Sorrento coast, with a guide alongside you throughout.
You start in Trastevere, eating your way through the district with a culinary expert who knows the real Roman cooking behind the tourist menus. From there it's into the Vatican with VIP access to the Museums, skipping the worst of the queues.
The back half of the trip heads south — a drive to Pompeii passing through medieval villages, time among the ruins themselves, then a slower few days in Sorrento and Capri by the sea.
