About this trip
Three weeks overland from Hanoi to Siem Reap, tracing a long line through Vietnam and into Cambodia. You start in the old quarter of Hanoi and finish under the towers of Angkor Wat, with a lot of ground and history covered in between.
The route mixes proper sightseeing with some downtime — cruising Halong Bay, cycling the countryside around Ninh Binh, cooking in Hoi An, then crossing into Cambodia for the harder history of Phnom Penh before the coast and islands lighten things up again.
It closes on a high with beach time at Koh Rong Sanloem and Angkor Wat at sunrise, plus a night or two to enjoy Siem Reap before you go.
