About this trip
A week-long coach loop around southern Ireland, starting and finishing in Dublin, that takes in whiskey, castles, cliffs and coastline without rushing too hard between them.
You move steadily west and south, from Kilbeggan's distillery to a night out in Galway, then down along the Atlantic edge past the Cliffs of Moher and the Dingle Peninsula, before swinging through Killarney, Cork and Waterford on the way back.
It's a fully guided group trip on a bus, so the driving is done for you and the days are structured around a fairly full list of sights.
What you'll do
- Sample whiskey at the Kilbeggan distillery
- Stand at the Cliffs of Moher
- Cross the Shannon Estuary by ferry
- Explore the Dingle Peninsula
- Hike to Torc Waterfall and visit Blarney Castle
- Wander Waterford and Kilkenny
- A lot of ground covered in 7 days, so expect regular travel time between stops
- Fixed coach itinerary rather than free time to linger
- Suits those who want a broad first look at southern Ireland rather than deep time in one place
