About this trip
A short, easy-paced group tour down from Perth into the Margaret River region, mixing coastline, forest and food along the way. It's the kind of trip where you graze your way through the region as much as sightsee it.
Over three days you'll take in a mix of natural landmarks — caves, a lighthouse, towering karri forest — and local produce, from chocolate and cheese to boutique wine. There's a good chance of spotting kangaroos and, depending on the season, whales too.
What you'll do
- Wander the town of Busselton
- Chocolate tasting stop
- Explore the fossil-lined chambers of Mammoth Cave
- Boutique wine tasting in Margaret River
- Whale watching from Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse
- Walk among the karri trees of Boranup Forest
- Easy-paced, sightseeing and tasting rather than activity-heavy
- Round trip from and back to Perth, so no need to arrange separate transport
