Nepal & Bhutan Tour Package

Start & end in Kathmandu 9 days Up to 16

About this trip

Nine days covering Nepal and Bhutan, two Himalayan countries that kept the wider world at arm's length for decades and still guard their culture carefully. Expect temples, dzongs, and mountain views rather than trekking distances.

You start in Kathmandu among the temples and palaces of the valley, then fly to Paro for a few days exploring Bhutan's fortresses, monasteries, and villages, including a hike up to Taktsang Monastery on its cliffside perch. You finish back in Nepal with a run through smaller historic towns outside Kathmandu before ending at Changu Narayan.

It's a culture and sightseeing trip at heart, built around UNESCO sites, working monasteries, and conversations with locals and monks along the way, rather than long days on foot.

What you'll do

  • Wander the temples and palaces of Patan Durbar Square in Kathmandu
  • Visit the sacred sites of Boudhanath and Pashupatinath Temple
  • Fly from Kathmandu to Paro past Himalayan peaks
  • Hike up to Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) Monastery in Bhutan
  • Explore the old towns of Bhaktapur, Panauti, and Sanga
  • End with a walk from Nagarkot down to Changu Narayan temple
Good to know
  • Covers two countries in nine days, so most stops are brief
  • Involves at least one uphill hike to reach Taktsang Monastery
  • Style leans towards sightseeing and culture rather than adventure trekking
What travellers actually say

Worth it if you want a well-organised cultural immersion with strong guides covering both countries' highlights. Think twice if you need flexibility—the itinerary is fixed and packs a lot into nine days.

  • Guides are genuinely knowledgeable and passionate, sharing deep cultural and historical insights throughout.
  • Trip planner Pradip is exceptionally flexible with last-minute adjustments that actually improve the experience.
  • Activities range from serious hikes like Tiger's Nest and Everest Base Camp to temple visits and local home interactions.
  • Nine days covers Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Paro, Thimphu, and Phunakha—ambitious itinerary means long travel days and early starts.
