About this trip
Nine days covering Nepal and Bhutan, two Himalayan countries that kept the wider world at arm's length for decades and still guard their culture carefully. Expect temples, dzongs, and mountain views rather than trekking distances.
You start in Kathmandu among the temples and palaces of the valley, then fly to Paro for a few days exploring Bhutan's fortresses, monasteries, and villages, including a hike up to Taktsang Monastery on its cliffside perch. You finish back in Nepal with a run through smaller historic towns outside Kathmandu before ending at Changu Narayan.
