Ten days across Oman that mix genuine luxury stays with proper time outdoors, from Muscat's souqs to mountain villages, desert camps and the fjords of Musandam.

You'll base yourself at some serious hotels along the way — The Chedi in Muscat, Anantara on Jebel Akhdar, a night under canvas at Thousand Nights Camp in the Wahiba Sands, and Six Senses Zighy Bay in Musandam — with days built around snorkelling, forts, canyons and camel rides in between.

It's paced for comfort rather than speed, with private rooms throughout and one flexible day at the end to design yourself in Musandam.
