Three days out of Nairobi to the Masai Mara, done properly but without the frills — camping under canvas and full days out looking for wildlife.
You drive down through the Great Rift Valley, stopping to take in the views and meet Maasai communities along the way, before settling into game drives across the reserve in search of zebras, giraffes, elephants and lions.
It's a straightforward, budget-minded setup — simple camping, shared transport, and the focus kept on the wildlife rather than the comforts.
