About this trip
This is a private journey deep into Papua's Baliem Valley, well off the usual Bali route and into the highlands where the Dani people live much as they have for generations.
Over eight days you trek through misty mountain terrain, cross hanging bridges, and sleep in traditional village homes rather than hotels. It's a slower, closer way to see a part of Indonesia that few travellers reach.
Expect raw landscapes and direct encounters with local culture, including some genuinely unusual sights along the way.
