Twenty-six days is enough time to go right round Sri Lanka rather than picking one corner of it — ancient cities, rainforest, hill country, and the northern peninsula all in one trip.
Expect ruined kingdoms and UNESCO sites early on, then a shift into wildlife-watching and hiking, then coastal time on the east and south beaches. The Jaffna Peninsula and Delft Island add a northern chapter that most Sri Lanka tours skip, with a different history and culture to the south.
