Bangkok City Break including Amphawa Floating Market & Erawan National Park

Start & end in Bangkok 4 days Up to 30

About this trip

Four days built around Bangkok's big-hitters, with two escapes into the countryside to break up the city time. It's an easy-paced introduction rather than a deep dive, good if your time in Thailand is limited.

On day two you head out to Amphawa Floating Market, where vendors sell food and goods from boats along the canals, a calmer and more local alternative to Bangkok's bigger markets. Day three takes you further out to Erawan National Park, known for its multi-tiered waterfalls and jungle setting.

The trip is partially guided, so some days follow a set plan while others leave room to explore Bangkok on your own terms. It suits families and groups after a short, easy city break rather than a long expedition.

What you'll do

  • Take in Bangkok's major landmarks and temples
  • Wander the canals and stalls of Amphawa Floating Market
  • Swim beneath the tiered waterfalls of Erawan National Park
  • Get out of the city into rural Thai countryside for a day
Good to know
  • Partially guided — some days are led, others are free time
  • Easy pace, suited to families and first-time visitors to Thailand
  • At 4 days, this is a short city-break style trip rather than a full tour of the country
