Must See Bangkok, City Break, Small Group Tour

Start & end in Bangkok 5 days Up to 8

About this trip

Five days based in Bangkok, covering the city's major cultural sites plus a couple of day trips out to Kanchanaburi and the floating markets.

You'll take in the Grand Palace and several temples with their large Buddha statues, then head out to the floating market at Damnoen Saduak and the market that runs along the train tracks at Maeklong.

A trip to Kanchanaburi includes a ride on the Death Railway, crossing the original wooden viaduct built by prisoners of war during the Second World War. The group is kept small, up to 8 people, and the tour is partially guided.

What you'll do

  • Visit the Grand Palace in Bangkok
  • See temples housing large Buddha statues
  • Browse the floating market at Damnoen Saduak
  • Walk the Maeklong Railway Market as vendors clear the tracks
  • Ride the historic Death Railway Train in Kanchanaburi
  • Cross the original wooden viaduct built by allied POWs
Good to know
  • Small group, capped at 8 travellers
  • Partially guided, so some time is unsupervised
  • Suits those after history and culture rather than beach or nightlife
