Belgium including Brussels, Luxemburg, & Amsterdam

Start & end in Brussels 6 days Up to 12

About this trip

Six days based in Brussels, with the city itself as your starting point and full-day excursions out to Luxembourg and Amsterdam along the way.

You get proper time to settle into Brussels — its old squares, architecture and food and drink culture — before heading out on day trips to two more European capitals, each with a very different feel.

It's a partially guided trip with a relaxed pace, well suited to travelling with family or a small group over the festive period.

What you'll do

  • Explore Brussels' historic centre and Grand Place
  • Day trip to Luxembourg City's old medieval streets
  • Day trip to Amsterdam, including its canal network
  • Sample Belgian food and drink culture in Brussels
Good to know
  • Partially guided — some days are on your own to explore
  • One base city (Brussels) with day trips out, rather than changing hotels each night
  • Day-trip destinations can be rescheduled or swapped depending on availability
What travellers actually say

Worth it if you want a well-organised, guide-led overview without hotel changes. Think twice if you need A/C, dislike early starts with long walks, or prefer self-guided exploration.

  • Hotel location in Brussels excellent, walking distance to sights; knowledgeable guides who kept groups on schedule.
  • Some hotels lack A/C; broken elevators reported. 20-minute walks to/from bus stops before 8am and after 8pm in dark.
  • Guide personalities inconsistent. Some read history like textbooks; one Amsterdam guide territorial about seating, unwelcoming to tips.
  • Canal boat in Amsterdam less valuable than walking tour would be after long coach days; sitting hours stacked.
