About this trip
Seven days through Armenia's ancient sites, from the country's Christian roots to its wine-making history, with Yerevan as your base for exploring further afield. This is a private, fully guided trip, so the pace and route can flex around you.
You'll visit Echmiadzin Cathedral, one of the world's oldest Christian churches, and travel out to remote monasteries tucked into forested mountains. There's also time in Areni village, home to a 6,100-year-old winery excavated from a cave, where you can taste some of the region's wine.
Throughout, Mount Ararat is a near-constant presence on the skyline, and evenings in Yerevan bring a chance to try Armenian food, wine and cognac in the city's cafes and restaurants.
