About this trip
Fourteen days covering India's Golden Triangle, the holy city of Varanasi, and a stretch of desert trekking in the Thar, with a final taste of Mumbai's pace. This is a broad sweep of the country — temples, forts, markets, desert and city all in one trip.
You'll watch the sun come up over the Taj Mahal, take a boat out on the Ganges at dawn, and spend a night camped under desert stars after a day's trekking. A guide travels with the group throughout, so the logistics of moving between such different places are handled for you.
It's rated easy, so the trekking is gentle rather than gruelling, and you get your own room each night rather than sharing.
