About this trip
Five days across Morocco, starting in Casablanca and finishing in Marrakesh, with Fes and the Sahara desert in between. It's a route built around contrasts — imperial cities, mountain roads and desert dunes — with history and culture woven through the stops.
The centrepiece is a night out in Merzouga, where you swap the coach for a camel to reach camp, timed for the desert sunrise and sunset.
What you'll do
- Explore the medina and historic sites of Fes
- Cross the Atlas Mountains en route to the desert
- Ride a camel into the dunes at Merzouga
- Watch sunrise and sunset over the Sahara
- Finish in Marrakesh, Morocco's red city
- A fast-paced route — you cover a lot of ground across Morocco in five days
- Partially guided, so some parts of the trip run without a group leader present
- Includes a desert camp night, which suits those happy with simple, rustic accommodation
