About this trip
A two-week route through Turkey that mixes a guided land tour with a few days sailing the turquoise coast on a traditional gulet. You start and finish in Istanbul, with flights linking the inland stops so you're not stuck on long coach transfers.
Along the way you take in the country's big UNESCO sights — Ephesus, Pamukkale, Cappadocia — before heading down to Antalya and onto the water for a 4-day, 3-night cruise along the coast towards Kas, with time for swimming and snorkelling in between the ancient sites.
Hotels are smaller, centrally located places with some local character rather than big group properties, and meals are mostly in family-run restaurants, so there's a fair bit of regional food and local flavour built into the trip.
