About this trip
Eight days across mainland Greece and Santorini, mixing ancient history with island time. You start in Athens, head up through Delphi and Meteora, then finish with a few days on the caldera.
The pace is easy and partially guided, so you get context at the big sites — the Acropolis, Delphi's ruins, the Meteora monasteries — without being marched through every stop. A Greek food tasting adds some local flavour along the way.
Santorini closes things out with a semi-private sunset cruise, BBQ included, which is a fair way to end a history-heavy week.
What you'll do
- Explore the Acropolis in Athens
- Visit the ruins at Delphi and stop in the village of Arachova
- See the UNESCO-listed Meteora monasteries
- Take a Greek food tasting in Athens
- Join a semi-private sunset cruise in Santorini with BBQ and swimming
- Easy pace and partially guided — some sites are visited independently
- Suits families and private groups as well as solo travellers
- Available over Christmas and New Year
Worth it if you want Greece's iconic sights without logistical stress and appreciate guided history mixed with downtime. Think twice if you dislike crowds or need more flexibility mid-trip.
- Smooth transfers, clear itineraries, and responsive staff (Maria helped last-minute changes; guides like Panos answered questions freely).
- Eight days hits the sweet spot: Athens and Delphi's history feel immersive, Meteora's views genuinely memorable, Santorini a perfect closer.
- Santorini is beautiful but crowded; free time there lets you escape peak spots, but you're still dealing with tourist volume.
- Mainland pacing suits first-timers and those jet-lagged; ferries and transfers run as described, keeping the week stress-free.
