About this trip
Four days covering the three big names of southern Peru travel: Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu itself. It's a compact, guided run through the region's history rather than a deep dive into any one place.
You start in Cusco, getting a feel for the city's mix of Inca stonework and everyday life, before heading out to the Sacred Valley, the farming land that once fed the Inca capital. The trip builds to Machu Picchu, with time to take in the citadel and the views around it.
It's a straightforward, well-trodden route, suited to those who want the highlights covered efficiently rather than an off-grid exploration.
