About this trip
Granada is Nicaragua's oldest continuously inhabited European settlement, founded in 1524 by the Spanish captain Francisco Hernández de Córdoba, and its colonial streets are the main draw of this short break.
Over four days you get a solid taste of the city itself plus a couple of trips out to Lake Nicaragua and the country's first national park, home to one of Nicaragua's most active volcanoes.
It's a partially guided trip pitched as easy going, and group numbers can shift over the days as people join or leave.
What you'll do
- Wander the Spanish-colonial streets of Granada
- Visit Lake Nicaragua
- Explore Nicaragua's first and largest national park, established in 1979
- See one of Nicaragua's most active volcanoes
- Partially guided, so some time is unstructured for you to explore Granada on your own
- Rated easy, suited to a relaxed pace
- Group size can change during the trip as travellers join or move on
