About this trip
This eight-day route links Munich, Nuremberg, Salzburg and Prague, using Munich as your base for the first stretch before heading onward by train.
You start in Munich, then take day trips out to Nuremberg and Salzburg and back, so you get two cities without changing hotels. From there you travel by train to Prague, with a stop at a Czech spa town known for its hot springs along the way.
It's an easy-paced, partially guided trip, timed around Christmas and New Year, which suits families or groups wanting a mix of structure and free time in each city.
